Job description

The Oracle OCI Cloud Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing Oracle Cloud Infrastructure environments, including databases, middleware, and application services.
This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance optimization, and secure cloud operations while collaborating with development and DevOps teams., * Design and manage Oracle OCI environments including database and middleware components.
Develop and maintain Oracle APEX applications and ORDS services.
Configure and administer Oracle WebLogic Server and related platforms.
Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, and conversions.
Implement and manage backup, recovery, and replication strategies.
Ensure high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection.
Monitor and optimize database performance and implement tuning improvements.
Automate routine tasks using scripting and configuration management tools.
Collaborate with development and DevOps teams for seamless deployments.
Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues.
Document processes and provide guidance on best practices.

Requirements

10+ years of hands-on experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and related technologies., * Strong expertise in Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI).
Experience with Oracle APEX and Oracle REST Data Services (ORDS).
Proficiency in Oracle WebLogic Server administration.
Strong knowledge of Oracle Database architecture including CDB and PDB.
Experience with database upgrade, backup, and recovery processes.
Proficiency in Linux or Unix environments and shell scripting.
Experience with configuration management and version control tools.
Knowledge of cloud architecture, high availability, and disaster recovery.
Familiarity with containerization technologies.
Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Should Have:

Experience with database monitoring and management tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps practices.
Knowledge of microservices architecture and API integrations.
Oracle certifications such as OCIP, OCP, or OCE.

Qualification And Education:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
Equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
