Data Analyst

Seeking a highly analytical Data Analyst capable of untangling and documenting complex legacy reporting structures. This individual will work with difficult and poorly documented Hadoop views, helping the team understand, rationalize, and modernize critical business data assets.

Responsibilities

· Support migration efforts from Hadoop and DNP environments into Databricks

· Analyze complex legacy data views and reporting structures

· Reverse engineer historical data logic and transformations

· Document business rules and data lineage

· Partner with engineers and business stakeholders to provide insight into legacy systems

· Create meaningful analysis and recommendations from complicated datasets

· Support migration efforts into modern cloud-based environments

· Advanced SQL

· Data analysis and data modeling

· Strong documentation skills

· Experience investigating complex datasets and reporting logic

· Ability to understand business context and translate technical findings · Hadoop experience

· Azure Databricks exposure

· Transportation or operational data experience

· Data lineage and metadata management experience
