Job description

NISH Tech BV is looking for an experienced Cybersecurity Vulnerability Management Engineer to support vulnerability identification, assessment, prioritization and remediation across complex enterprise infrastructure., You will combine cybersecurity expertise with strong infrastructure and automation skills, working across Linux, Windows, VMware, network and hybrid-cloud environments. The role involves developing scripts and API integrations, operating vulnerability assessment tools, coordinating remediation activities, analysing security metrics and producing actionable reports for technical teams and management. You will collaborate closely with infrastructure, development, cloud, SOC, compliance and vendor teams to improve the effectiveness, scalability and efficiency of vulnerability management services., * Develop internal scripts and automation solutions using Python and Bash.

  • Integrate APIs with security platforms and infrastructure technologies.
  • Administer, deploy and harden Linux, Windows and VMware ESXi environments.
  • Configure and maintain network infrastructure including switches, routers, firewalls and VPN gateways.
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments across on-premises and cloud environments.
  • Manage the complete vulnerability lifecycle from identification through verification.
  • Prioritize vulnerabilities based on risk, asset exposure and threat context.
  • Coordinate remediation activities with infrastructure, development and cloud teams.
  • Track patching, configuration changes and security updates through to completion.
  • Prepare vulnerability assessment reports, remediation plans, dashboards and operational documentation.
  • Report vulnerability trends, high-risk assets, risk exposure, exploited threats, KPIs and other security metrics.
  • Design and deploy infrastructure and services that improve the availability, scalability and efficiency of vulnerability management capabilities.
  • Work with SOC, compliance teams and external vendors on vulnerability remediation.
  • Adapt vulnerability assessment strategies to containerized environments, DevSecOps pipelines and emerging attack vectors.
  • Document technical solutions clearly for engineers and users.

Requirements

Mandatory Skills

  • Strong Linux administration experience.
  • Strong Windows server administration experience.
  • Strong VMware ESXi expertise.
  • Advanced Python and Bash scripting skills.
  • Strong understanding of TCP/IP and network security.
  • Hands-on knowledge of firewalls, VPNs and network protocols.
  • Experience with vulnerability management processes.
  • Experience with enterprise vulnerability scanners such as Rapid7 Nexpose and/or Nessus.
  • Experience working with APIs and technology integrations.
  • Experience securing hybrid-cloud environments.

Nice-to-Have Skills

  • AWS security and infrastructure experience.
  • Azure security and infrastructure experience.
  • Splunk/SIEM experience.
  • ServiceNow and/or Jira experience.
  • Docker and Kubernetes experience.
  • DevSecOps pipeline experience.
  • Message brokers such as Apache Kafka, AWS SQS, Google Pub/Sub or RabbitMQ.
  • Cyber intelligence knowledge.
  • Programming experience with Java, Golang or Rust.
