Software / Platform Engineer

We are looking for a capable developer to support daily operations while our primary team executes a database modernization from SQL Server to AWS Aurora. You will need to switch fluidly between backend maintenance in Java and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Pulumi (TypeScript). A technology and consulting company specializing in customer loyalty, personalization, data analytics, and AI-powered solutions for large enterprise brands across industries such as travel, hospitality, retail, and entertainment. The company combines consulting expertise with a SaaS loyalty platform, helping clients design, implement, and optimize loyalty programs, improve customer engagement, and use data and AI to deliver personalized experiences., + Backfill day-to-day operations by troubleshooting and resolving bugs in the Java backend application.

• Write and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) for AWS using Pulumi (in TypeScript), applying solid Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles.
• Support the database modernization team with specific tasks as they arise, such as creating and running load-testing scripts for the new AWS Aurora database.

• Strong Software Engineering Foundation: Proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming (OOP) patterns is essential. We are looking for an engineer-first approach; strong programming skills are valued above experience with declarative tools alone.
• Cloud & DevOps Expertise: Solid hands-on experience within the AWS ecosystem and working with Kubernetes.
• Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proven experience with Pulumi (TypeScript). Note: If you have deep experience with Terraform and possess the strong software engineering background needed to quickly pick up Pulumi/TypeScript, we encourage you to apply.
• Problem-Solving Mindset: Driven by curiosity and a “self-serve” attitude. We need a natural problem solver who proactively digs into root causes rather than waiting for instructions.
