Job description
We are seeking an experienced QA Automation Tester to join a fast-paced financial services technology environment, delivering strategic change across business-critical applications and data platforms. The successful candidate will design, build and maintain automated testing frameworks, execute end-to-end testing activities, and drive quality engineering across the SDLC. Working within Agile teams, you will collaborate with developers, business analysts and stakeholders to ensure application stability, data integrity and release quality. Experience within enterprise-scale environments, strong automation expertise, SQL, API testing and CI/CD practices are essential.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a QA Automation Tester within large enterprise environments
- Strong hands-on experience with Selenium, Playwright, Cypress or similar automation frameworks
- Experience testing web applications, APIs, distributed systems and data platforms
- Strong SQL skills with backend data validation experience
- Ability to build automation frameworks from scratch and enhance existing frameworks
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, system and
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC and Agile/Scrum
- Defect management, root cause analysis and troubleshooting expertise
- Experience producing test plans, test strategies, test evidence and quality metrics
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Ability to support production releases and post-implementation verification
Desirable Skills
- Financial Services or Investment Banking experience
- Experience testing risk, finance, regulatory reporting or data platforms
- Exposure to Azure or AWS
- Experience testing ETL, data warehouses and integration solutions
- Performance, security and non-functional testing knowledge
- Experience working with global onshore/offshore teams
- ISTQB certification and/or Automation Testing certifications
Additional Requirements
- Able to work onsite 3 days per week in Canary Wharf or Liverpool Street
- Right to work in the UK without sponsorship
- Must not have worked for or participated in recruitment processes with the client within the last 6 years.
