Design Engineer (all gender)

• develop and deliver design solutions for components, assemblies and engine systems, ensuring performance, safety, manufacturability and cost efficiency
• create and maintain engineering definitions, models, drawings and technical documentation in compliance with quality, certification and regulatory requirements
• perform design validation and engineering analyses, applying robust design, systems engineering and risk management methodologies
• drive continuous improvement, standardisation and zero-defect initiatives to enhance product quality and producibility
• support product lifecycle activities, including configuration management, non-conformance resolution, repairs and design modifications
• collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, suppliers and engineering partners to ensure successful design integration and project delivery
• develop and utilise automated engineering tools and workflows to improve design efficiency and data quality

• hold Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, or an equivalent regional qualification and/or relevant industry experience
• have strong technical knowledge of mechanical design methodologies, supported by a broad understanding of cross-functional engineering disciplines including manufacturing engineering, aerodynamics, thermodynamics, thermal and mechanical analysis, cost engineering, and product definition
• demonstrate ability to apply logical, analytical, and innovative thinking to solve complex technical challenges, balancing technical excellence with business and programme requirements
• have knowledge and practical understanding of product integrity, product liability, and certification frameworks
• have very good communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
• have proven ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams and complex engineering environments, delivering high-quality outcomes to challenging timescales
