Summary: The Technical Delivery Manager III leads the execution of high-impact, strategic technology initiatives, ensuring coordination across platforms and teams. This role is responsible for end-to-end delivery management, including planning, resource alignment, risk mitigation, and stakeholder engagement. The Technical Delivery Manager builds strong partnerships with technical teams, product and vendors, driving accountability and customer satisfaction. They provide technical aptitude, mentor team members, and proactively manage scope, schedule, budget, dependencies, and escalations. Additionally, they champion delivery best practices, continuous improvement, and operational excellence through retrospectives and performance metrics., * Leads end-to-end delivery of large-scale, complex, and strategically significant technical initiatives, applying deep subject-matter expertise in integrations, cloud infrastructure, and enterprise platform implementations.
- Builds, strengthens, and maintains partnerships with technical teams, vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure alignment and seamless execution.
- Owns stakeholder engagement and communication, operating with limited oversight while ensuring clarity, transparency, and high satisfaction across senior and cross-functional audiences.
- Develops, manages, and interprets complex project budgets, including variance analysis and monthly forecasting, while independently identifying financial risks and impacts.
- Provides technical guidance, coaching, and delegation to lower-level delivery professionals, supporting their growth and ensuring quality execution across workstreams.
- Works closely with architecture and engineering leadership to define scope, requirements, and success criteria for complex, enterprise-level initiatives.
- Estimates, secures, and optimizes technical resources, balancing capacity, demand, and constraints to achieve delivery objectives.
- Leads scope, schedule, and budget adjustments, proactively identifying and resolving difficult and multifaceted risks, issues, and dependencies, and guiding mitigation strategies.
- Defines, monitors, and interprets KPIs and performance metrics to drive continuous improvement and ensure delivery excellence.
- Facilitates post-delivery reviews, retrospectives, and optimization activities, applying advanced technical and delivery insight to recommend and implement improvements.
Requirements

- Proven leadership in technical teams and matrixed environments.

Strong technical understanding of cloud and infrastructure environments, including experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP). Specifics include: Compute, storage, database and networking.
- Architecture including virtualization, containerization, load balancing and high availability design patterns.
- DevOps and automation such as CI/CD pipelines and IaC
- Monitoring and observability tools and practices.
- Security compliance and awareness of best practices for IAM, data encryption, handling of sensitive data and usage of security tools.
- Understanding of CMDBs, configuration items and ITSM best practices.
- Effectively navigate technical conversations with architecture, engineering, database, network, operations and other IT teams.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Adept at project financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
- Agile and adaptable to changing technical and business conditions.
- Skilled in cross-disciplinary communication and stakeholder alignment.
- Strong interpersonal and conflict-resolution skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication.
- Ability to prioritize and execute under pressure.
- Confident engagement with senior leadership.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related technical field required; equivalent experience also considered.
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in technical delivery or project management of large-scale, cross-functional technology initiatives (e.g., cloud migrations, infrastructure deployments, software development projects) required.
- Proficiency in productivity and collaboration tools such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.
- Hands-on experience with delivery and project management platforms such as Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet, ServiceNow, and MS Project.
- PMP, PMI-ACP, or equivalent project/delivery management certification preferred.Technical certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure Fundamentals, ITIL) are a plus.
