Job description

We’re looking for an experienced React engineer who can help lead this transformation. This is not a maintenance role-it is an opportunity to define the architecture, engineering standards, and development practices that will power our next generation of applications.

You’ll work closely with architects, backend engineers, DevOps, security, and product teams to build fast, secure, maintainable web applications while establishing best practices across the organization. This position will be located within the United States and will be a fully remote opportunity., * Lead the design and development of modern customer-facing web applications using React and TypeScript.

  • Help define the future front-end architecture, including component libraries, state management, routing, authentication, and API integration patterns.
  • Modernize legacy applications by migrating from server-rendered Spring Boot/Thymeleaf applications to a decoupled front-end architecture.
  • Collaborate with backend teams to build clean REST and GraphQL APIs that support modern web experiences.
  • Establish engineering standards for code quality, testing, accessibility, performance, and security.
  • Design and implement CI/CD pipelines for front-end applications within a DevSecOps environment.
  • Integrate automated testing, static analysis, dependency scanning, and security validation into the development lifecycle.
  • Champion reusable UI components, shared design systems, and consistent engineering practices across applications.
  • Mentor engineers and help grow modern front-end development capabilities across the team.
  • Evaluate emerging front-end technologies and recommend solutions that improve developer productivity and user experience.

Within your first year, you will:

  • Deliver modern React applications that replace legacy server-rendered interfaces.
  • Establish a scalable front-end architecture adopted across multiple products.
  • Build secure, automated delivery pipelines aligned with DevSecOps best practices.
  • Improve application performance, developer productivity, and deployment frequency.
  • Help create a modern engineering culture centered on automation, quality, security, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

Bachelor’s with 7 years (or commensurate experience), * 7+ years of professional software development experience.

  • 5+ years building production applications with React.
  • Deep expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
  • Strong understanding of modern front-end architecture and design patterns.
  • Experience with state management solutions such as Redux, Zustand, or React Query/TanStack Query.
  • Experience consuming RESTful APIs and/or GraphQL services.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design, accessibility (WCAG), and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with automated testing using Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, Playwright, or similar frameworks.
  • Experience building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines.
  • Familiarity with cloud-native deployments and containerized applications.
  • Strong understanding of secure software development practices and DevSecOps principles.
  • Experience working in Agile product teams.

  • Experience with OpenShift, Docker, Kubernetes, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, GitLab CI, or similar platforms.
