Job description

  • As an SAP Developer within the JAM team, you will build and enhance Jumbo Article Management (JAM), Jumbo’s central article management platform. You will develop applications and integrations that replace legacy solutions and ensure the reliable exchange of article data with SAP S/4HANA and other core systems.
  • Article data forms the foundation of our operations. With JAM, we improve data quality, reduce manual effort, and accelerate the introduction of new products within a future-proof SAP landscape.
  • You will join Captain Yellow, a multidisciplinary Scrum team within the Assortment domain. Together, you will work on a modern article management platform that plays a critical role within Jumbo.
  • You will collaborate closely with data specialists, integration and platform teams, product owners, architects, and business stakeholders to ensure article data flows reliably and efficiently throughout the organization., Jumbo is building the digital future of its supermarket operations. The JAM Team (Captain Yellow) is responsible for the development and continuous improvement of JAM (Jumbo Article Management), Jumbo’s central article management platform.

JAM replaces legacy systems (such as RAK) with a future-proof platform built on SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP) and SAP S/4HANA Retail. Through JAM, we ensure that article creation, article enrichment (including GS1 data, ingredients, and non-SAP attributes), and maintenance processes run smoothly, efficiently, and accurately for all commercial and operational teams across Jumbo.

As an SAP Developer in the JAM team, you will develop, optimize, and maintain the business logic and integrations that enable article data to flow securely and efficiently between systems. Profile

Requirements

  • More than 5 years of experience as an SAP Developer, working with technologies such as ABAP, CDS, OData, Fiori, the RESTful ABAP Programming Model (RAP), and SAP BTP.
  • Experience with SAP Integration Suite / SAP Cloud Integration (SAP CI), including designing and building integration flows (iFlows), working with adapters (such as SOAP, REST, IDoc, and OData), and handling monitoring and error management within CPI.
  • Strong understanding of SAP’s Clean Core principles, the capabilities of SAP S/4HANA On-Premise, and extensibility options within SAP BTP.
  • Knowledge of the SAP BTP DevOps portfolio and CI/CD practices.
  • The ability to quickly develop a deep understanding of Jumbo’s business processes, organization, and IT landscape.
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on identifying improvement opportunities and resolving challenges within the existing IT landscape.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to bridge technical gaps between development, operations, and security teams to ensure seamless solution delivery.

Benefits & conditions

  • A gross salary between € 5,900 and € 7,600 per month (based on 40 hours).
  • An annual bonus of up to 7.5% of your annual salary based on organizational goals.
  • 30 vacation days (with the option to buy or sell days) and 8% holiday allowance. You’ll build up a pension through the industry pension fund for the food sector.
  • A travel allowance (€ 0.21 per kilometer, with a maximum of 35 kilometers one way). While we enjoy working together at the office, you can also work partly from home.
