Senior Java Developer

• We will ensure best practices are adhered to across the department.
• We will guide teams on how to deliver quality software products.
• We will assist in the design of software products that make up citizen services in collaboration with Architecture and Engineering principles.
• We will focus on operational stability, robustness, resilience, availability, and quality, and be accountable for the code our teams produce.
• We will design and lead strategies for building reusable libraries and services.
• We will own the development of medium- to long-term strategies for product lines and the Software Engineering community.
• We will identify and support the resolution of infrastructure faults.
• We will provide 3rd line support on products developed, including out-of-hours support as required.
• We will lead multiple Software Engineering teams, providing technical leadership and guidance.
• We will coach and mentor our team and support their professional development.
• We will contribute to and set strategic direction for the product team and the wider Software Engineering community.
• We will lead collaboration and sharing of knowledge and good practice with the wider software engineering community.
• We will lead and support community discussions about best practice within Software Engineering.
