Strategic Planning & Execution

• Partner closely with the CIO to execute strategic technology initiatives and organizational priorities.
• Translate executive discussions into actionable workstreams, project plans, and measurable deliverables.
• Monitor progress against strategic objectives and proactively identify risks, roadblocks, and dependencies.
• Drive follow-up activities and ensure commitments made during leadership meetings are completed.

Executive Meeting Management

• Attend leadership, governance, steering committee, vendor, and operational meetings alongside the CIO.
• Capture key decisions, action items, risks, and next steps.
• Develop executive summaries, meeting recaps, and status reports.
• Ensure accountability by tracking deliverables and escalating issues when deadlines are at risk.

Program & Portfolio Management

• Coordinate initiatives across infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud, applications, service desk, and business technology teams alongside direction of CIO
• Maintain technology roadmaps, project dashboards, and executive reporting metrics.
• Track budgets, resource allocations, risks, dependencies, and milestone completion.
• Support governance processes and strategic planning efforts.

Stakeholder Communication

• Serve as a liaison between the CIO and IT leadership teams.
• Prepare executive presentations, briefing materials, leadership communications, and board-level updates.
• Facilitate alignment among technology leaders and business stakeholders.
• Ensure consistent communication regarding strategic priorities and execution progress.

The IT Strategy & Operations Lead will act as a Chief of Staff of sorts to the Chief Information Officer (CIO), helping drive the execution of technology initiatives across the organization. This individual will attend leadership meetings alongside the CIO, translate discussions and decisions into actionable plans, coordinate cross-functional efforts, track deliverables, and ensure accountability across IT teams. The ideal candidate will be very organized, detail-orientated and able to drive actions forward. The role will be hybrid remote to NYC, it would be expected to be in office 3 days a week of local to NYC; or travel as needed monthly for commutable distance.

This role is ideal for a highly organized technology professional who combines strong project management, communication, and stakeholder management skills with an understanding of enterprise IT operations. They will act as an extension of the CIO, helping transform strategic objectives into measurable outcomes while ensuring priorities remain aligned across infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, service delivery, and business technology teams., * 3-5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: IT Project Management, Program Management, PMO, Technology Operations, IT Strategy, Management Consulting

• Experience supporting executives or senior leadership.
• Exceptional organizational, facilitation, and communication skills
• Experience managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office - Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business, Computer Science, or related field.
• Experience supporting a CIO, CTO, CISO, or senior technology executive.
• Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools.
• Experience within a law firm, financial services organization, or large enterprise environment.
• Familiarity with:

• PMP, Agile, Scrum, or related certifications preferred.
• Experience developing executive-level presentations and reporting.

$40/hr to $50/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including location, skills, experience, and education.

They are headquartered in New York. This role is preferred to be hybrid onsite in NYC 3 days a week, but for the right candidate they can commute in monthly as needed for meetings.
