Job description

Senior Software Engineer Role (Kotlin)You’ll join a close-knit engineering function of around 9engineers, giving you plenty of ownership, visibility and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on technical decisions and how the platform evolves.One of the key projects will involvemodernising the existing technology platform and migrating from PHP to Kotlin.You’ll work closely with engineering and product while remaining firmlyhands-on with development and delivery.What We’re Looking ForStrong commercial experience withJava or KotlinStrongbackend software engineeringexperienceCurrently hands-on with coding and comfortable working in a highly technical roleExperience withcloud technologies, ideally AWSExperience building and maintaining modern, scalable backend applicationsStrong communication and collaboration skillsComfortable working within a smaller engineering team with significant ownershipParticularly Valuable ExperienceExperience withinFinTech, banking, payments, lending, insurance or wider financial serviceswould be a strong advantage.We’re also particularly interested in engineers who have worked on:Legacy modernisation or technology migration projectsMigration intoJava/KotlinenvironmentsAWS and cloud-native architecturesSmaller product engineering teams with end-to-end ownershipPractical use ofAI within software developmentLocation & EmploymentThis is apermanent positionand candidates must be based in, or able to be permanently employed in:UK
