Tech Lead/Solutions Architect

Our client seeks a hands-on Tech Lead with strong Architecture capabilities to bridge Finance, Accounting, IT, and Development. The role combines technical leadership, hands-on development, finance systems expertise, and stakeholder management. The ideal candidate leads delivery, mentors engineers, partners with CFOs and Controllers, and drives modernization across .NET, SQL Server, Azure, Azure DevOps, and SAP-integrated finance applications., * Serve as technical lead and trusted advisor for Finance applications.

• Partner with Controllers, CFOs, Product Owners, and Finance stakeholders.
• Translate technical concepts into business terms for non-technical audiences.
• Apply accounting concepts to explain solutions, prioritize work, and enforce delivery accountability.
• Discuss financial controls, GRC, SOX, General Ledger, and finance processes.
• Lead and mentor development teams while remaining hands-on.
• Own delivery estimates, planning, and realistic timelines with capacity forecasts.
• Review code, approve pull requests, and oversee Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.
• Own deployments and release management.
• Expand and mature the Architecture practice and operate as a Solutions Architect.
• Create and maintain roadmaps, architecture diagrams, future-state designs, and modernization strategies.
• Sign off on architectural decisions and technical designs.
• Re-architect legacy apps to improve data quality, scalability, self-service, security, and operations.
• Support application modernization, lift-and-shift, and cloud hardening.

• Proven experience as a Tech Lead with architecture responsibilities.
• Hands-on development with C#.NET, ASP.NET, SQL Server, HTML/CSS.
• Azure Cloud, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with MudBlazor or similar UI frameworks for business apps.
• Mandatory SAP experience with strong understanding of SAP architecture and integrations (ECC 6.0 and/or S/4HANA).
• Deep knowledge of Finance and Accounting domains and processes.
• History leading modernization and cloud initiatives.
• Effective communication with CFOs, Controllers, Product Owners, and finance stakeholders.
• Ownership mentality with accountability for team delivery.
• Forward-thinking approach to AI and emerging technologies.

This is a contract to hire opportunity. Applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis and convert to FTE following contract duration. Rate: $90.00 to $100.00/hr. w2, Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
