Job description

  • Develop reusable software infrastructure for post-silicon validation and characterization
  • Build Python automation for workloads, platform controls, instrumentation, and data collection
  • Develop scalable frameworks for repeatable and reliable test execution!
  • Collaborate across engineering teams to integrate, debug, and improve automated test methodologies, Arm’s approach to hybrid working is designed to create a working environment that supports both high performance and personal wellbeing. We believe in bringing people together face to face to enable us to work at pace, whilst recognizing the value of flexibility. Within that framework, we empower groups/teams to determine their own hybrid working patterns, depending on the work and the team’s needs. Details of what this means for each role will be shared upon application. In some cases, the flexibility we can offer is limited by local legal, regulatory, tax, or other considerations, and where this is the case, we will collaborate with you to find the best solution. Please talk to us to find out more about what this could look like for you.

Requirements

We are looking for systems software experience with a focus on Linux, Python, automation, and developing reusable software frameworks for physical hardware environments.

  • Strong Python development skills with experience building automation, frameworks, or orchestration tools
  • Experience with Linux systems, APIs, software architecture, and development that follows configuration parameters.
  • Experience developing CI, regression, or automated test infrastructure for reliable unattended execution
  • Experience debugging complex software and hardware interactions using logging, telemetry, and other diagnostic methods
  • Ability to develop reusable solutions while collaborating with firmware, validation, systems, and infrastructure teams

“Nice To Have” Skills and Experience :

Experience with embedded systems, hardware validation, or post-silicon environments is helpful, but deep characterization experience is not required.

  • Experience with C/C++, embedded systems, firmware interfaces, or SoC platforms
  • Experience with hardware-in-the-loop (HIL), lab instrumentation, telemetry, or equipment automation
  • Experience developing APIs for hardware control, workload execution, data collection, and failure recovery
  • Experience with YAML or other automation platforms that are guided by configuration data
  • Understanding of silicon validation, characterization, power/performance, or system-level testing

You will succeed in this role by turning complex engineering workflows into reliable infrastructure that can scale across platforms and users. Curiosity, teamwork, and an interest in learning the post-silicon characterization domain will help you make an impact across Arm engineering teams!

Benefits & conditions

$198,100-$268,000 per year

We value people as individuals and our dedication is to reward people competitively and equitably for the work they do and the skills and experience they bring to Arm. Salary is only one component of Arm’s offering. The total reward package will be shared with candidates during the recruitment and selection process.
