Senior Consultant - VMware Cloud Foundation / Infrastructure

We are seeking an experienced Senior Consultant to support the maintenance, sustainment, optimization, and lifecycle management of enterprise Software Development Environment (SDE) infrastructure. The environment utilizes Dell enterprise platforms and VMware-based technologies, including VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) on VxRail, NSX network virtualization, Omnissa Horizon VDI, Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC), and the Aria management suite. The successful candidate will provide infrastructure administration, deployment, configuration, and operational support to ensure a secure, scalable, resilient, and high-performing environment for software development and mission-critical applications. This role will focus on supporting virtualization, automation, networking, and management infrastructure while ensuring alignment with operational, performance, and cybersecurity requirements., Infrastructure Maintenance and Sustainment

• Support the ongoing maintenance, sustainment, and optimization of enterprise SDE infrastructure.
• Perform administration and operational support for VMware Cloud Foundation environments running on Dell VxRail.
• Maintain virtualization, networking, storage, and management components.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, availability, and overall infrastructure health.
• Identify opportunities to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure-related issues across virtualization and software-defined environments.

VMware Cloud Foundation and VxRail Administration

• Install, deploy, configure, and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation environments.
• Support VxRail hardware and software lifecycle management activities.
• Administer VMware vSphere and associated virtualization components.
• Perform upgrades, patches, configuration changes, and system maintenance.
• Ensure infrastructure components remain aligned with operational and security requirements.
• Support integration between compute, storage, networking, and management platforms.

NSX Network Virtualization

• Administer and support VMware NSX environments.
• Configure and maintain virtual networking and security components.
• Support network segmentation, routing, firewalling, and virtualization requirements.
• Troubleshoot network connectivity and performance issues within the SDDC environment.
• Implement best practices for secure software-defined networking.

Aria Suite Administration

• Administer and maintain VMware Aria management and automation solutions.
• Support monitoring, logging, automation, and infrastructure management capabilities.
• Configure dashboards, alerts, and operational monitoring tools.
• Assist with capacity planning, performance analysis, and infrastructure optimization.
• Maintain management platform configurations and integrations.

Disaster Recovery Support

• Support installation, deployment, and configuration activities for disaster recovery infrastructure.
• Participate in disaster recovery site implementation and readiness activities.
• Coordinate infrastructure deployment and configuration across primary and recovery environments.
• Support testing, validation, and troubleshooting of disaster recovery solutions.
• Ensure infrastructure resilience and continuity requirements are met.

Documentation and Collaboration

• Maintain technical documentation, configuration records, and operational procedures.
• Collaborate with infrastructure, cybersecurity, networking, and application teams.
• Support project planning, implementation, and technical integration activities.
• Provide recommendations for infrastructure improvements and optimization.
• Participate in knowledge sharing and technical troubleshooting activities.

• VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) on VxRail.
• Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) architecture and administration.
• VMware NSX network virtualization and security.
• VMware Aria Suite administration and management.
• Dell VxRail infrastructure and enterprise hardware platforms.

• Disaster recovery infrastructure support and implementation., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred.
• Proven experience supporting VMware enterprise virtualization environments.
• Hands-on experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) and VxRail.
• Strong knowledge of Software-Defined Data Center (SDDC) architecture.
• Experience administering VMware NSX network virtualization.
• Experience with VMware Aria Suite administration and management tools.
• Knowledge of enterprise infrastructure maintenance, patching, upgrades, and lifecycle management.
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work onsite and support complex enterprise infrastructure environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• VMware certifications such as VCP, VCAP, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with Dell VxRail and enterprise hardware platforms.
• Knowledge of Omnissa Horizon VDI environments.
• Experience with VMware Aria Operations, Aria Automation, and related management products.
• Familiarity with disaster recovery architecture and implementation.
• Experience supporting secure or regulated enterprise environments.
• Knowledge of cybersecurity best practices for virtualization infrastructure.
• Experience with automation, orchestration, and infrastructure-as-code concepts.
• Strong understanding of networking, storage, compute, and virtualization integration.
