Identity and Access Management Administrator

The CA Department of Water Resources (DWR) is recruiting for an Identity and Access Management Administrator. The position’s duties and activities are performed primarily within the System and Software Engineering technical domains. The incumbent provides highly technical services in support of the Department’s Office 365 cloud platform and Identity Management technology environments and ensures the technical health, operational reliability, and readiness of the technical components and landscapes. The position is responsible for account management life-cycle activities and implementing system administration operating processes and procedures. In addition, the incumbent serves as a project technical lead on enterprise-level projects, working closely with other infrastructure teams, engineering architects, business units, outside business partners, and vendors to provide critical IT support and services in support of the Department’s programs, strategic goals, and business objectives., 1. Describe your education, working knowledge, and experience with information technology, identify management. Office 365 cloud environments, Entra ID, and Active Directory. Include both on-premises cloud management experience and your role with the technology, including the time-period and Department or Company.

The ideal candidate will possess: (1) In-depth expertise in domain controller provisioning, administration and upgrading in physical, virtual and cloud server landscapes, VMware knowledge is a plus; (2) PowerShell knowledge and experience to implement, maintain and manage defined systems specifications and parameters through system interfaces; (3) experience with implementing and supporting disaster recovery solutions for business continuity; (4) implementation of file system permissions and hierarchies in Microsoft environments and NAS systems to manage both environments, (5) Ability to manage projects independently and with a team; (6) skills to independently troubleshoot and provide support services; (7) ability to work with other infrastructure teams to resolve production breaks and engineer new solutions; (8) a history of preparing sustainable documentation; (9) strong organizational, analytical and deductive reasoning skills; (10) a passion for process improvement, problem solving and providing excellent customer service.
