Job description

We are seeking an experienced Malware Forensics / Malware Analyst to investigate malicious software, analyze attacker techniques, and support cybersecurity incident response and threat hunting activities. The role will focus on static and dynamic malware analysis, reverse engineering, behavioral analysis, memory forensics, and detection development. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience analyzing suspicious executables, scripts, infected systems, and malware-related artifacts., * Perform static and dynamic analysis of malware and suspicious files.

  • Reverse engineer suspicious executables, scripts, and other malicious artifacts.
  • Analyze malware behavior and identify:

  • Persistence mechanisms
  • Command-and-control (C2) communications
  • Payloads
  • Execution techniques
  • Evasion mechanisms
  • Analyze malicious code and determine its capabilities and intended behavior.
  • Develop Indicators of Compromise (IOCs) based on malware analysis findings.
  • Develop and refine YARA rules and other detection signatures.
  • Analyze memory dumps from infected or compromised systems.
  • Perform forensic analysis of systems affected by malware.
  • Correlate malware behavior with network and endpoint activity.
  • Support incident response and threat hunting teams during active investigations.
  • Document malware analysis procedures, technical findings, and conclusions.
  • Provide actionable recommendations for detection, containment, and remediation.

  • Strong hands-on experience performing both static and dynamic malware analysis.
  • Experience reverse engineering suspicious executables and scripts.
  • Strong understanding of malware persistence, C2 mechanisms, payload execution, and attacker techniques.
  • Experience with memory analysis and infected-system investigation.
  • Proficiency with one or more reverse-engineering platforms such as IDA Pro, Ghidra, x64dbg, or OllyDbg.
  • Experience using tools such as Procmon, Wireshark, and Volatility.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills with Python and/or C/C++.
  • Working knowledge of Assembly and low-level system behavior.
  • Experience creating IOCs and detection rules, including YARA.
  • Understanding of incident response and threat-hunting methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and technical documentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment.
