Job description
This is an exciting opportunity for an IT Systems Adminsitrator to work on the Galileo project, the European space flagship programme.Galileo is Europe’s Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), providing accurate positioning and timing information.CETRA BASE is currently looking for 2 experienced IT Systems Administrators.Positions are based in Saint-Germain-en-Laye (France) and/or Madrid (Spain).Tasks and ResponsibilitiesTo provide IT system administration support for operational systems ensuring continuity and availability of services while supporting incident handling and operational team activitie.Those activities encompass:Handling of incidents and requestsPerforming daily and weekly routine health status checksProviding daily reportsExecuting Preventive Maintenance proceduresExecuting Corrective Maintenance procedures (e.G. faulty HW replacement)Participating in recurrent technical meetingsEssential qualifications and experienceWe are looking for a Windows and/or Linux Systems Administrator with minimum 2 (two) years of hands?on experience with at least 2 of the following fields:Microsoft technologies: MS Windows Domain (AD), MS Exchange, IIS, RDS, System Center Operations Manager (SCOM)Linux & Container Orchestration: Red Hat Linux, command line, kubernetes, ansible, rancherMonitoring & Observability: Prometheus / Grafana, OpenNMS, NagiosStorage & Backup: Longhorn, VEEAMSecurity & Networking: Firewall Management, IDS Management, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) Management, VPN Solutions, Antivirus ManagementMiddleware & Application Servers: jBoss EAPAt least B2 level of English according to CEFR levels.Experience in Space programmesMCSA, MCSE or equivalente certificationSecurityIn line with security requirements of the Galileo mission the candidate shall be a citizen of a European Union state.This position requires the candidate to obtain and maintain a security clearance.The successful candidate will be offered a permanent contract and a very competitive salary package, according to his/her skills and experience.
