Job description

Location:HertfordshireSector:Embedded, C++ / C# / Python / JavaJob type:PermanentJob reference:KEG1063Salary:up to 60k plus benefitsAre you an experienced Robotics Software Engineer - C# actively looking for a new role?, If so, my client has an exciting opportunity available for a talented engineer to join their growing team developing cutting-edge robotic systems for the agricultural industry. You will play a key role in advancing the capabilities of autonomous harvesting robots, helping to improve usability, performance, accuracy and functionality as the company continues to deploy its technology to customers. In this experienced Robotics Software Engineer - C# job based in Hertfordshire you will be responsible for the following:

Develop and enhance software capabilities across usability, speed, accuracy and system calibration.
Analyse logs, user feedback, observations and experimental data to identify software improvements and diagnose issues.
Investigate and resolve complex bugs using an evidence-based and data-driven approach.
Test and validate your own software directly on robotic machines, working hands-on with hardware.
Collaborate closely with Product and Engineering teams to prioritise and deliver new features and enhancements.
Ensure software changes are robust, well-tested and suitable for deployment in production environments.

Requirements

The successful applicant for this Robotics Software Engineer - C# job based in Hertfordshire must have:

Several years of commercial software engineering experience
Strong programming skills in C#, .NET or other C-family languages.
Experience within a robotics environment is essential.
Experience working with hardware and testing software on physical systems.
A methodical, evidence-driven approach to problem solving, drawing upon multiple sources of data to identify root causes.
Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
Python experience would be advantageous. There is no sponsorship offered for this role, UK working rights required.
