Working Student Automation & AI

We are seeking a Master’s student to drive workflow automation and AI integration across our project operations. Working directly within Jira, Confluence, and Google Workspace, you will build automated processes, optimize ticket management, and experiment with cutting-edge AI tools to streamline daily team tasks. If you bring solid scripting skills, a high level of independence, and a hands-on “learning by doing” mindset, this role offers the perfect platform to solve real-world operational challenges. Tasks

• Jira & Confluence Automation: Build, test, and maintain automated workflows between Confluence and Jira(e.g., auto-creating, routing, and updating tickets based on documentation triggers).
• AI Tooling Integration: Implement and experiment with AI tools to automate daily administrative and operational team tasks.
• Jira Ticket Management: Oversee the review, cleanup, refinement, and structured creation of Jira tickets to keep project backlogs accurate and clean.
• Workflow Optimization: Identify manual bottlenecks in team processes and write scripts or leverage automation tools to streamline them.

• Enrollment Status: Currently enrolled as a full-time Master’s student (ideally in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Data Science, or a related field).
• Work Availability: Available to work [e.g., 15-20] hours per week during the semester (flexible schedule during exam phases).
• Technical & Programming Skills: Solid programming/scripting skills (e.g., Python, JavaScript, REST APIs) with experience writing code to automate workflows or integrate tools.
• AI & Automation Familiarity: Practical experience or strong familiarity with AI tooling (e.g., LLM APIs, prompt engineering, AI agents) and modern automation platforms.
• Mindset & Work Style: High degree of resilience and independence/self-reliance, with a proactive “learning by doing” attitude to test, debug, and implement new technical solutions.
• Tooling Expertise: Hands-on experience with the Atlassian Ecosystem (Jira & Confluence workflows) and Google Workspace.
• Communication & Languages: Excellent English skills are a must; basic or conversational German knowledge is a plus.
