Bi Developer/Lead - Microstrategy

Mandatory skill required8+ years of hands?on experience with MicroStrategy (MSTR)development and platform administration.Strong experience withMicroStrategy project configuration, including VLDB settings and performance tuning concepts.Solid understanding ofMicroStrategy security models, roles, user/group access, and ACL design.Experience working inlarge, enterprise?scale BI environmentswith multiple stakeholders and parallel initiatives.Strong analytical skills with the ability to review, document, and propose improvements to existing BI platforms.Desirable SkillExperience supportingplatform migration, modernization, or optimization initiatives.Exposure tocost optimization, platform downscaling, or performance efficiency programs.Familiarity withdata platform landscapesand modern BI technologies (e.g., Power BI, Fabric).Experience working inregulated industries(banking, financial services, or similar).Key tasks/responsibilitiesReporting & Delivery SupportSupport ongoing MicroStrategy report development and regular delivery activities within the MSTR SEA team, ensuring business continuity and predictable BI output.Take ownership of assigned reporting workstreams, adhering to established delivery, testing, and documentation standards.Collaborate with business stakeholders, BI users, and delivery teams to ensure reporting solutions meet functional and performance expectations.Platform Review & Optimization SupportReview existing MicroStrategy project configurations, including Very Large Database (VLDB) settings, identifying performance, scalability, and stability improvement opportunities.Propose and implement configuration updates where appropriate, aligned with platform optimization and risk mitigation goals.Support analysis and documentation of the current MicroStrategy platform setup, contributing input for architectural adjustments and future?state design.Security & Access ManagementReview existingMicroStrategy security roles, permissions, and access models; recommend and implement revisions where required.Analyze and simplifyAccess Control Lists (ACLs), ensuring compliance with security, regulatory, and internal governance requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to validate security changes and ensure appropriate authorization without compromising usability or performance.Testing & Quality AssuranceTest re?configured MicroStrategy environments following configuration, security, or performance changes.Support and coordinate with other testers during testing phases, ensuring adequate test coverage and issue resolution.Assist in validating performance, security, and functional stability post?changes and before production release.Infrastructure & Cross?Team CollaborationWork closely with and coordinate activities with theInfrastructure team, ensuring alignment on environment changes, deployments, and platform dependencies.Manage communication across BI, data, infrastructure, and security teams to support synchronized delivery and minimize operational risks.Documentation & Knowledge TransferProduce and maintainfinal technical documentation, including configuration changes, security models, testing outcomes, and operational guidelines.Contribute to knowledge sharing and documentation to supportlong?term platform maintainabilityand reduce dependency on key individuals.Enable smoother internal resource transition towardPower BI Fabric and Copilot initiativesby stabilizing and documenting the MicroStrategy landscape.
