System Engineer (Military Derivatives)

Job Description: An opportunity for a Systems Engineer has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The jobholder will join the Engineering Department TADMO6 (Tanker and L&M A/C Mission Support Systems solutions). RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out all system engineering tasks throughout the life cycle of our development projects, which includes system concept definition, system design, requirements engineering, system test & qualification. Be responsible for the scope and quality of the assigned tasks considering all aspects like feasibility, reusability, system optimization, maintainability, safety, technical performance, interface design, risks and opportunities. Take part in test definition and execution. Ensure transfer of contracted capabilities and customer requirements into system and product requirements, focusing on customer satisfaction and full compliance with rules and regulations. Support to and participate in Customer meetings and workshops. Provide In Service Support to our systems deployed in military bases, answering technical queries and planning updates. We are looking forward to know you: Education: University degree in a technical domain, e.G., aeronautics, computer science, telecommunications engineering or equivalent. Experience: 5+ years of experience in system or software development, with deep knowledge of methods and tools (e.G. DOORS). Experience in working with Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo) and DOORS preferable. Mission planning systems, mission systems experience is an advantage. Languages: Advanced level in English & Spanish (both written & spoken). Soft skills: Team player, good communication skills and proactive mindset.
