Job description

We are seeking an experienced Full Stack Developer for a 6-month+ contract based in Manchester to engineer high-performance web applications. You will deliver end-to-end features, working across enterprise Java and Node.js backend services while building responsive frontends using React and TypeScript., * Design and deploy scalable microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and Node.js (Express/NestJS).

  • Build modern, modular web interfaces using React and TypeScript.
  • Develop, test, and document RESTful APIs and event-driven services.
  • Optimize database queries and schema performance across relational (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL platforms.
  • Work on-site in our Manchester office 2 days per week alongside cross-functional team members.

Requirements

  • Tech Stack: Demonstrated production experience across Java, Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
  • Architecture: Strong understanding of microservices, API design, and asynchronous communication patterns.
  • Database & Tooling: Hands-on experience with SQL/NoSQL databases, Git, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Location: Must be based within commuting distance of Manchester and willing to work on-site at least 2 days per week.
