Job description

Design, develop, and maintain complex backend software solutions with full end-to-end ownership
Translate high-level requirements into scalable, maintainable system designs
Contribute to system architecture and ongoing product evolution
Develop high-quality, performant software to agreed timescales
Collaborate closely with product owners and cross-functional teams
Support testing and quality-focused activities to ensure excellent product delivery
Mentor and support junior engineers within the team

Requirements

Key Skills & Experience - Senior Software Engineer (C/C++) - Stevenage, Hertfordshire

Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or similar
5+ years’ experience in software development
Strong C/C++ programming and object-oriented design skills
Experience working in a Linux environment (GNU tools such as gcc, gdb)
Network programming and multithreading experience
Python programming knowledge
Proven ability to break down complex problems and deliver solutions
Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers
Strong communication and collaboration skills
