User Experience Designer

• Lead interaction design across discovery, alpha and delivery.
• Create wireframes, prototypes, interaction models and design patterns.
• Work directly with users and customers to understand needs.
• Facilitate design workshops and stakeholder sessions.
• Collaborate with researchers, service and content designers, developers and stakeholders.
• Apply accessibility and inclusive design principles.
• Communicate design decisions using evidence and user insight.

This role would suit an experienced Interaction Designer, UX Designer or Senior UX Designer with strong expertise in user-centred design, prototyping, wireframing and accessible digital services. Experience across discovery, alpha and delivery, particularly within Government or Defence, would be highly beneficial., Essential:

• SC Clearance
• Strong commercial experience in interaction design / UX design.
• Experience across discovery, alpha and delivery.
• Strong wireframing, prototyping and interaction design capability.
• Comfortable working directly with customers and users.
• Confident facilitating workshops.
• Strong stakeholder and multidisciplinary collaboration skills.
• Experience working closely with development teams.

Desirable:

• UK Central Government, Defence or regulated-sector experience.
• Knowledge of GDS / GOV.UK service standards.
• Experience with design systems and Agile delivery.
• Interest or experience in service and content design.
