Cyber Security Engineer (Defence)

We are working with a leading engineering and technology consultancy supporting complex security-critical projects across the German defence sector.They are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer with a strong background in system hardening, infrastructure security and BSI standards to work across highly secure IT environments.The RoleHardening Linux (RHEL) and Windows environments in line with BSI and Cert-BW requirementsDeveloping and implementing security policies, procedures and hardening measuresAutomating security and hardening processes using Bash and PowerShellSecuring and managing virtualised environmentsHardening Active Directory environmentsConfiguring and managing firewalls and network security technologiesConducting security assessments and auditsIdentifying vulnerabilities and implementing remediation measuresWorking closely with technical teams, project stakeholders and customers on wider security strategyYour ProfileExperience within IT Security, Cyber Security or System
