Java Backend/Microservices Engineer - Telecom

· Java 17+ (ideally 21 with virtual threads experience)

· Spring Boot - dependency injection, auto-configuration, profiles

· Apache Kafka - producers, consumers, consumer groups, offset management, SASL/SSL

· Redis - data structures (hashes, lists), connection pooling, pub/sub patterns

· Kubernetes - pods, services, ConfigMaps, deployments, debugging with kubectl

· REST API design - Spring MVC controllers, OpenAPI/Swagger

Strong Plus

· Cassandra - data modeling (partition keys, clustering), CQL, TimeWindowCompaction

· Elasticsearch/OpenSearch - indexing, queries, mapping

· Protocol Buffers - schema definition, serialization/deserialization

· Helm charts - templating, values, chart dependencies

· AWS - MSK, Secrets Manager, EKS, IAM roles for service accounts

· WebSocket - long-lived connections, binary frames, STOMP protocol

Highly Desirable

· Development experience in cloud-based telecom CPE management, telemetry, and service orchestration

Nice to Have

· GraalJS / polyglot JVM experience

· Kafka Connect, schema registries

· Performance tuning at scale (tuning, thread pools, connection pools)
