Leidos is seeking a \nLinux Systems Engineer to support a mission-critical customer environment in Chantilly, VA. This position is ideal for a hands-on Linux administrator or systems engineer with experience supporting \nLinux servers in virtualized environments and maintaining system security and compliance requirements.\n \n The successful candidate will support day-to-day system administration, engineering, configuration management, virtualization, and security operations across a multi-network environment.\n \n \nCandidates must currently possess an active TS/SCI with the required Polygraph and be eligible for customer crossover.\n \n \nPrimary Responsibilities\n \n \n

• Administer, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems and servers within a virtualized environment.\n
• Maintain the operational security posture of information systems and support day-to-day system security operations.\n
• Perform and support system vulnerability scans, security audits, remediation, and compliance activities.\n
• Implement and maintain system security configurations and requirements.\n
• Provide configuration management for information system hardware, software, firmware, and security components.\n
• Support system engineering activities, including planning, designing, analyzing, and improving hardware- and software-based system processes.\n
• Troubleshoot complex system and infrastructure issues and develop effective technical solutions.\n
