Job description

You’ll take ownership of ERP projects throughout the full delivery lifecycle, ensuring scope, resources, budgets, timelines and customer expectations remain aligned., * Managing ERP implementations, upgrades and optimisation projects from initiation through to go-live.

  • Developing detailed project plans covering scope, resources, milestones, dependencies and deliverables.
  • Coordinating functional consultants, technical teams, data specialists and customer stakeholders.
  • Managing multiple ERP projects and competing priorities.
  • Monitoring budgets, forecasts, billable activity and overall project commercial performance.
  • Identifying delivery risks, resource constraints and potential delays early and putting corrective actions in place.
  • Managing project risks, issues, actions and dependencies.
  • Leading customer project meetings and providing clear, concise project updates.
  • Managing project scope and ensuring changes are assessed, documented, costed and agreed.
  • Coordinating configuration, development, integrations, data migration, testing and training workstreams.
  • Managing User Acceptance Testing (UAT), defect resolution and customer sign-off.
  • Planning go-live, cutover and post-implementation activity.
  • Maintaining accurate project documentation and governance.
  • Managing customer expectations and confidently handling difficult conversations where required.
  • Supporting resource and capacity planning across upcoming projects.
  • Ensuring projects are formally closed and successfully transitioned into support or business-as-usual., This is an opportunity to take genuine ownership of ERP delivery rather than simply maintaining project plans and reporting against milestones.

You’ll lead customers through complex implementations, bring together technical and functional resources and ensure projects remain commercially and operationally controlled.

You’ll also have the opportunity to influence how projects are managed, helping strengthen governance, planning, resource management and overall delivery standards.

Requirements

We are looking for an experienced ERP Project Manager to take ownership of complex ERP implementations, upgrades and improvement programmes.

This is a hands-on delivery role for someone who understands the full ERP project lifecycle and is comfortable managing customers, consultants, technical teams, budgets, resources and project governance.

Experience with Epicor Kinetic would be advantageous, but it is not essential. We are equally interested in Project Managers who have successfully delivered projects involving comparable ERP platforms such as:

JD Edwards (JDE) Microsoft Dynamics NetSuite Oracle SAP Business One (SAP B1) Epicor or similar ERP solutions

The key requirement is a strong understanding of ERP implementation and the ability to successfully take projects from initial planning through to go-live., You’ll ideally have 5+ years’ Project Management experience, with significant experience delivering ERP or enterprise business-system projects.

You should be able to demonstrate:

  • End-to-end delivery of ERP implementations and/or major upgrade programmes.
  • Experience with Epicor, JD Edwards, Microsoft Dynamics, NetSuite, Oracle, SAP Business One or another comparable ERP platform.
  • Strong project planning and resource-management skills.
  • Experience managing project budgets, forecasts and commercial performance.
  • Excellent customer and stakeholder management.
  • Strong understanding of project governance and change control.
  • Experience managing project risks, issues and dependencies.
  • Understanding of ERP implementation workstreams including configuration, development, data migration, integrations, testing and training.
  • Experience coordinating UAT and go-live activities.
  • The confidence to challenge customers and internal stakeholders when required.
  • Strong organisation, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

ERP Background

We are deliberately keeping the ERP requirement broad.

You do not need to be an Epicor specialist to be considered.

Candidates could have delivered projects involving:

Epicor Kinetic / Epicor ERP

JD Edwards (JDE)

Infor

Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Dynamics AX / Business Central

Oracle ERP

NetSuite

SAP Business One (SAP B1)

Infor or similar manufacturing/distribution ERP platforms

Experience within manufacturing, distribution, supply chain or finance-led ERP environments would be particularly relevant.

Additional Experience That Would Be Valuable

Exposure to any of the following would also be beneficial:

  • Multi-site or multi-company ERP implementations
  • Cloud and on-premise ERP solutions
  • Data migration and systems integration
  • Professional Services or ERP partner environments
  • Microsoft Project or similar planning tools
  • PSA and resource-planning platforms
  • Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Project recovery or complex programme remediation
  • PRINCE2, PMP, APM or similar Project Management qualifications
