Job description

Lead end-to-end separation and migration of R&D and Engineering applications across discovery, planning, target-state implementation, cutover, and stabilization.
Conduct technical discovery to document current-state architecture, data models, integration landscapes, infrastructure dependencies, and migration scope.
Define target-state configurations, technical prerequisites, object dependencies, and environment-specific changes across DEV, SIT, UAT, Staging, and Production.
Develop migration wave strategies, technical readiness gates, cutover runbooks, rollback plans, and operational milestones.
Oversee target infrastructure readiness, coordinating servers, databases, network connectivity, DNS, firewalls, certificates, service accounts, middleware, monitoring, and disaster recovery.
Collaborate with data teams to establish requirements for data extraction, cleansing, transformation, reconciliation, archival, and purging.
Manage cross-functional technical dependencies spanning IAM, licensing, vendor support, integration, and security teams.
Direct SIT/UAT execution, mock migrations, dress rehearsals, defect triage, production cutover, and post-migration hypercare.
Maintain migration RAID logs, drive root-cause analysis for blockers, support decommissioning activities, and ensure a smooth operational handover to steady-state support.

Requirements

15+ years of enterprise experience across application implementation, systems administration, infrastructure engineering, technology transformation, and application separation/migration.
Proven track record leading complex technical migrations, enterprise carve-outs, divestitures, TSA exits, or re-platforming initiatives.
Deep expertise in multi-tier enterprise application architecture and SDLC deployment lifecycles (DEV, SIT, UAT, Staging, PROD).
Hands-on platform expertise across Windows Server, Linux, application servers, load balancers, enterprise storage, and networking.
Strong database and connectivity fundamentals, including SQL Server, Oracle, TCP/IP, DNS, firewalls, ports, SSL/TLS certificates, and reverse proxies.
Working knowledge of enterprise identity systems, including Active Directory, SSO, SAML/OAuth, IAM, service accounts, and least-privilege security models.
Demonstrated experience managing dependencies across APIs, middleware, ETL pipelines, licensing, and security boundaries.
Solid grasp of data migration and validation principles, including profiling, mapping, reconciliation, backup/recovery, and business continuity.
Hands-on technical leadership during mock cutovers, dry runs, technical dress rehearsals, production cutovers, and hypercare troubleshooting.
Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to bridge low-level technical problems with business impact, executive reporting, and risk mitigation., * Domain experience supporting R&D, Engineering, Product Development, PLM, PDM, project controls, or engineering document management platforms.

Experience with enterprise ERP integrations, specifically SAP, enterprise middleware, REST/SOAP APIs, and enterprise reporting tools.
Cloud architecture experience across Microsoft Azure, AWS, or hybrid enterprise hosting models.
Prior exposure to regulated or controlled manufacturing/engineering environments.
