Data Engineer (Snowflake, dbt)

In this role, you’ll serve as the primary technical owner of our Snowflake data warehouse, dbt transformation framework, and broader data engineering environment. You’ll play a key role in ensuring data quality, availability, scalability, and governance across reporting, analytics, and operational use cases. .

What You’ll Do

• Involved in the design, development, and governance of enterprise data models, dbt transformations, and overall data architecture
• Build, maintain, and optimize scalable ELT pipelines using SQL and Python, integrating data from SQL Server, third-party applications, APIs, and flat files into Snowflake
• Own data platform infrastructure, automation, deployment processes, and engineering best practices
• Establish and maintain data quality standards, monitoring frameworks, and technical documentation
• Partner closely with BI teams, business stakeholders, and IT leadership to guide data strategy and architectural decisions
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA requirements and established governance and change-management processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, or equivalent practical experience
• 5+ years of experience building and supporting enterprise data platforms and large-scale data integration solutions
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Snowflake and dbt
• Strong SQL and Python development skills
• Experience with cloud technologies and modern data engineering tools; AWS (S3, ECS, Lambda) preferred
• Exposure to Terraform, CI/CD practices, Airflow, or Dagster is highly desirable
• Experience working in healthcare or other HIPAA-regulated environments is a plus
