Job description
- Success Academy Charter Schools is seeking a Senior Salesforce Developer / Salesforce Architect to lead the architecture, design, and technical delivery of enterprise Salesforce solutions. This is a highly strategic role requiring exceptional systems thinking, product mindset, and technical leadership-not just hands-on Salesforce development.
- The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in fast-paced, evolving environments where requirements may be ambiguous. You’ll collaborate with business stakeholders, own architectural decisions, mentor distributed engineering teams, and build scalable Salesforce solutions that balance user experience, platform integrity, and delivery speed.
- This is not a traditional Salesforce Developer role-it is designed for an experienced Technical Lead or Solution Architect capable of driving enterprise-wide Salesforce initiatives from strategy through implementation., * Salesforce Architecture & Technical Leadership -
- Own the end-to-end architecture, solution design, and technical direction of enterprise Salesforce implementations.
- Design scalable, secure, maintainable, and high-performing Salesforce solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Translate evolving business requirements into practical technical solutions and architectural roadmaps.
- Define integration strategies across Salesforce and enterprise systems.
- Evaluate technical trade-offs between scalability, maintainability, usability, performance, and delivery timelines.
Engineering Leadership -
- Lead and mentor offshore and distributed Salesforce development teams.
- Establish and enforce Salesforce development standards, coding best practices, architecture guidelines, and governance.
- Perform architecture reviews, design reviews, and code reviews to ensure long-term platform health.
- Provide hands-on technical leadership when needed to resolve complex technical challenges or unblock delivery.
Stakeholder Collaboration -
- Partner closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Architects, and business stakeholders to shape technical solutions.
- Facilitate technical discussions and provide trusted architectural recommendations.
- Communicate effectively with both technical and executive audiences.
- Participate in solution design sessions, planning meetings, estimations, and technical workshops.
Delivery & Platform Governance -
- Identify technical risks, dependencies, bottlenecks, and architectural concerns early in the project lifecycle.
- Drive mitigation strategies that support predictable delivery without compromising technical quality.
- Ensure platform scalability, reliability, maintainability, and long-term sustainability.
- Continuously reduce technical debt and simplify overall system architecture.
- Maintain adherence to Agile delivery practices and operational excellence.
Requirements
- Significant experience designing, architecting, and delivering enterprise Salesforce solutions at scale.
- Proven ownership of Salesforce platform architecture beyond feature-level development.
- Strong experience leading offshore and/or globally distributed Salesforce development teams.
- Deep understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), Flows, APIs, integrations, security model, and deployment strategies.
- Strong systems-thinking mindset with the ability to simplify complex business and technical problems.
- Ability to balance competing priorities involving scalability, usability, performance, maintainability, and delivery timelines.
- Comfortable working with evolving or incomplete business requirements.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum development environments.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Salesforce Platform Developer I Certification.
- Salesforce Platform Developer II Certification.
- Salesforce Application Architect and/or System Architect Certifications.
- Experience serving as a Technical Lead, Salesforce Architect, Principal Engineer, or Independent Consultant.
- Product-minded approach with strong focus on user outcomes and long-term platform health.
- Experience establishing enterprise architecture standards and technical governance.
- Independent decision-maker capable of leading complex architectural initiatives with minimal supervision.
