Job description

Are you a Senior Data Scientist who enjoys turning complex operational challenges into practical AI solutions?

We’re supporting a global engineering and technology organization that operates some of the world’s most advanced offshore assets. They are investing heavily in data science, machine learning, and Generative AI to improve operations, enhance decision-making, and unlock value from large-scale industrial data.

This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of data-driven initiatives, from predictive analytics and computer vision to document intelligence and large language model (LLM) applications.

What You’ll Be Doing

As a Senior Data Scientist, you will work closely with Data Engineers, Data Architects, BI specialists, and business stakeholders to design and deliver production-ready machine learning and AI solutions.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and deploying machine learning models using Python
  • Building end-to-end AI solutions from data preparation to production deployment
  • Designing predictive analytics and time-series forecasting models
  • Creating anomaly detection and operational optimization solutions
  • Developing computer vision and document intelligence applications
  • Working with LLMs, Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Generative AI use cases
  • Applying MLOps best practices to ensure scalable and reliable deployments
  • Translating business requirements into technical solutions
  • Communicating findings and recommendations to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Collaborating within an Azure-based cloud environment using modern DevOps practices

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience as a Data Scientist, Machine Learning Engineer, or similar role
  • Strong Python development skills
  • Experience delivering machine learning solutions in production environments
  • Solid understanding of statistics, machine learning, and data modelling
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, ideally Azure ML or related AI services
  • Knowledge of Generative AI technologies, including:
  • Large Language Models (LLMs)
  • Prompt Engineering
  • RAG architectures
  • AI governance principles
  • Experience working with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and MLOps practices
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Fluent English, * Experience with computer vision
  • Experience with OCR, document processing, or information extraction
  • Time-series forecasting and anomaly detection experience
  • Experience within industrial, engineering, manufacturing, energy, or offshore environments
  • Experience with Microsoft AI Foundry
