Job description

  • PDF client report enhancements - working with the client’s in-house wrapper around PyMuPDF to improve and extend automated client-facing reports
  • Compliance and operational reporting - building and improving internal reports and tooling that support operational and compliance functions
  • API enhancements and migrations - contributing to the ongoing evolution and modernisation of existing APIs

What you’ll be doing

  • Building and maintaining features across reporting, operational tooling, and APIs
  • Writing efficient, well-tested Python code against MySQL-backed data using SQLAlchemy
  • Using Pandas for data manipulation and transformation in reporting workflows

Requirements

  • Strong commercial experience with Python
  • MySQL - comfortable writing and optimising queries, working with relational schemas
  • SQLAlchemy - practical experience using it as an ORM/toolkit in production code
  • Pandas - confident using it for data manipulation and reporting-style workflows
  • FastAPI / Jira and Git

Nice to have

  • PyMuPDF - experience generating or manipulating PDFs programmatically
  • GCP - familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services
  • Terraform - exposure to infrastructure-as-code
