Information Security Officer

Within ISD, this post is in the Chief Information Security Office (CISO) which leads on all aspects of security at UCL. CISO is divided into two teams covering Security Operations and Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC).

As the ideal candidate you will have a mix of the following skills and experience:

• Experience supporting structured IT or information security services, including responding to security-related requests, queries or incidents.
• A good understanding of core IT concepts, such as networks, operating systems, authentication and cloud services.
• Awareness of information security controls, technologies and good practice, and how they support risk management and compliance activities.
• Experience contributing to policy, governance, assurance, compliance or risk management activities.
• Experience developing or delivering training, guidance or awareness materials for a range of audiences.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• Relevant degree, professional qualification or equivalent experience.
