Job Description Software QA Engineer Automation Middle Level IMPORTANT NOTES:Positions are hybrid (remote/office), but living in Gran Canaria, Spain is mandatory.If you are not planning to move to the Canary Islands, please do not apply.Fully remote work is not an option.The company provides support for work permits for non-EU citizens.For this type of work permit, a Bachelor’s Degree related to the position is mandatory.WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR: We are looking fortwo middle-level Software QA Automation Engineerscapable of designing, executing, and maintaining automated tests within our existing Playwright/TypeScript framework, and who enjoy contributing to end-to-end quality across our products.They will play an important role in our QA team, extending automated test coverage, maintaining testing standards, and supporting both automated and exploratory testing effortsWHAT IS THE CHALLENGE WAITING FOR YOU:Design, develop, and maintain automated tests using Playwright, TypeScript, and mobile automation tools such as Appium or Maestro.Create detailed, well-structured test cases and keep Xray test documentation accurate and up to date.Conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.Execute API and network-level testing for backend services and third-party integrations, using tools such as Proxyman.Mock error and edge-case scenarios (e.g., 4xx/5xx responses, timeouts, malformed payloads) using Proxyman to validate how the app handles failures.Participate in code review for test automation contributions.Review system requirements and track quality assurance metrics, such as defect densities and open defect counts.Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.Support exploratory and manual testing in areas where automated coverage is still being built.Investigate the causes of non-conforming software and coach others on implementing solutions.Stay up to date with new testing tools and testing strategies.EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE:2-4 yearsof QA experience, includinghands-on automation.Solid working knowledge of TypeScript or JavaScript.Hands-on experience with Playwright for web automation; exposure to Appium or Maestro for mobile automation is a plus.Experience with API and network traffic testing (e.g., Postman, curl, Proxyman, or similar tools).Familiarity with Jira and Xray, or similar test management tools.Knowledge of Agile methodologies and CI/CD environments (we use GitLab CI).Proficiency in spoken and written English.Nice to have exposure to AI-assisted testing tools, or experience in the iGaming/betting domain.QUALIFICATION:Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science or a related field, or at least 2-4 years of demonstrated equivalent work experience in QA automation.COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:Competitive salary: € 35,000 - € 45,000 gross per year (based on knowledge and experience)Hybrid (remote/office) workFlexible working hoursRelocation package to move to Gran Canaria.Fully paid private health care packages for you and your kidsFully paid life insuranceFully paid gym membershipGreat location on sunny Gran Canaria** m2 Office with a fully stocked kitchen and an area facing wonderful views of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria’s seaside and Port.23 paid vacation days + official bank holidays in Spain.#J-***-Ljbffr
