Staff Database Engineer - Sportradar

OverviewIn this role you will own and operate mission-critical Oracle database services to support 24/7 sportsbook operations.You will design, administer, and optimize databases across development, test, and production, resolving incidents and delivering robust, secure, high?performing systems under heavy transaction volumes.You will collaborate with engineering and project teams to implement best practices and automation, contributing to reliability and scalability in a fast-paced, data-driven environment.ResponsabilidadesOwn complex database activities: performance tuning, migrations, architecture designServe as senior escalation point for incidents, including performance issues and data integrity problemsParticipate in 24/7 on-call rotation to support critical databasesPromote best practices in DBA administration, tuning, documentation, and automationInstall, configure, tune, patch, and upgrade Oracle 12c/18c/19c on Linux/WindowsDesign and implement backup and recovery with RMAN and Data GuardCreate and maintain operational docs and configuration standardsAnalyze and optimize SQL using AWR/ASH, execution plans, and Oracle Diagnostics PackIdentify and remediate inefficient queries, indexing, and statistics; improve schema and transactionsCollaborate with application/engineering teams to improve query design and performanceTune memory, I/O, and resources for high-volume, low-latency workloadsDesign and implement cloud-based DB solutions (AWS RDS, OCI DBaaS) and migrate from on-prem to cloud (GoldenGate)Monitor cloud resources for performance and cost efficiencyImplement database security controls, patching, and vulnerability remediationDefine and track KPIs for uptime, performance, reliability; document and report findingsPerform root-cause analysis for performance incidents and implement permanent fixesAutomate repetitive DBA tasks and incident handlingRequisitos principalesSenior Oracle DBA with hands-on experience in Oracle 12c/18c/19cExperience with container/pluggable and autonomous databasesProven ability to work in high-availability environmentsExperience across on-prem and cloud platforms (AWS and Oracle Cloud)Deep knowledge of backup, recovery, security, and performance tuningCalm under pressure, detail-oriented, continuous improvement mindsetcollaborativeproblem-solvingcalm under pressureOracle 12c/18c/19cRMANData Guard
