Senior Data Engineer

The Data Senior Engineer plays a critical role in designing, developing, and optimizing data solutions that support healthcare revenue cycle operations. Data integrity, scalability, and performance across complex systems, enabling actionable insights and operational efficiency. Combines advanced engineering expertise with a deep understanding of data architecture and analytics to drive innovation and compliance in a highly regulated environment. Develops and maintains robust data pipelines, architectures, and integrations to support enterprise analytics and reporting. Ensures data quality and security while implementing best practices for ETL processes, database optimization, and cloud-based solutions. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions, leverages modern tools for data modeling and warehousing, and proactively monitors system performance to ensure reliability and scalability. Supports governance initiatives and compliance with healthcare data standards. 6+ years of hands-on experience developing solutions using Microsoft SQL. 3+ years working with big data technologies such as Databricks, Apache Spark, Python, and Microsoft Azure (ADF, Dataflows, Azure Functions, Service Bus). Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals including automated testing, code reviews, telemetry, iterative delivery, and DevOps. Experience with polyglot storage architectures including relational, columnar, key-value, and graph systems. Hands-on experience with Delta Lake tables and Parquet data stored in ADLS. Experience building distributed, componentized applications using event-driven patterns. Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical, globally distributed audiences. Solid foundation in software architecture, design patterns, and engineering best practices. Experience working with healthcare datasets; familiarity with HL7 or EDI is a plus. This position pays between $101,600 - $152,400 based on experience Must be inquisitive and demonstrate openness to innovation including AI to explore better processes and ways to alleviate friction and improve patient and client experiences.
