Do you want to start a new professional challenge?Check out our new opportunity!We are looking to incorporate a Java Back-End Software Engineer to our team.About usWe are an IT Consultant Group that provides services and creates digital solutions to improve the lives of citizens across Europe.Check out our website: Our project and teamThis is your opportunity to start working on international projects with a highly qualified team and applying the latest technologies.You will join our European team, specifically the one involved in several projects for a significant European Agency.Minimum RequirementsRequired KnowledgeProficiency in back-end languages (Java, PHP) and experience with frameworks (Spring Boot, Hibernate, Node.js).Strong understanding of the web development cycle and programming techniques and tools.Experience with APM tools (Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic APM) and knowledge of OpenTelemetry for metrics, logs, and traces.Proficiency in working with relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, Oracle, MySQL), including writing complex SQL queries and understanding database design.Knowledge of NoSQL document stores (MongoDB, CouchDB, CosmosDB) and understanding of consistency/performance trade-offs.Experience with Git workflows (GitFlow, trunk-based) and understanding of legacy systems using SVN.Experience in designing, building, and securing RESTful APIs and web services, including OpenAPI/Swagger documentation.Knowledge of containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) for developing and deploying applicationsHigh level of English.Main ResponsibilitiesDevelopment of back-end website applications.Integration of user-facing elements developed by a front-end developers with server-side logic.Implement core business logic.Design and implementation of data storage solutions.Apply data and security best practices: input validation, authentication/authorization, secure storage, compliant logging and monitoring.Optimization of the application for maximum speed and scalability.Design and develop APIs.Participating in the design and creation of scalable software.Maintenance of code integrity and organisation.Writing clean, functional code on the back-end.SkillsTalent for attention to detail in code correctness, error handling, and documentation.Ability to analyse complex back-end issues and design effective solutions.Capability of integration in an international/multi-cultural environment.Ability to participate in multilingual meetings.Ability to understand, speak and write English, optionally French as an additional asset.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work in a team as well as autonomously.Results-oriented mindset, focused on delivering.This job offer has been drafted with impartiality and non-discrimination on the basis of gender, race, ideology or any other grounds in mind.In particular, it complies with current regulations on gender equality between women and men (Royal Decree-Law **)#J-*****-Ljbffr
