Job description
Technical Support & Data Operations EngineerAs a Technical Support & Data Operations Engineer, you’ll bridge the gap between our Customer Experience and Core Engineering teams.Your primary mission is product stability: diagnosing, troubleshooting, and fixing bugs in our codebase (Ruby, Python and Java).Once the bug queue is clear, you will pivot to data tasks-ensuring customer data integrations, legacy migrations, and precision data entry are executed flawlessly.You’ll work with sensitive information, ensuring data integrity while actively seeking automation of repetitive tasks.ResponsibilitiesBug Hunting & Fixing: Diagnose, troubleshoot, and deploy fixes for customer-reported issues in Factorial’s codebase.Code Maintenance: Write clean, maintainable code in Ruby on Rails and TypeScript, using Python for scripts and handling existing internal Java data tooling when required.Data Operations & Entry: Manage accurate input of text, numerical data, and customer configurations where automated solutions are not yet available.ETL Workflows & Migrations: Design and execute data pipelines to extract, transform, and load customer data from legacy systems into our SaaS platform.Automation & Innovation: Identify patterns in recurring bugs or manual data entry tasks and build automated scripts or low?code tooling to eliminate them.Security & Discretion: Handle sensitive and confidential HR/customer payroll data with the highest level of discretion and security.Collaboration: Act as the technical backbone for internal customer-facing teams, translating complex technical issues into clear updates.QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.1?2+ years of professional experience writing and debugging Ruby.1?2+ years of professional experience working with TypeScript.Solid proficiency with Python for scripting, data manipulation, or automation.Familiarity with or willingness to touch Java for specific internal data processing tools.Strong debugging skills and a love for reading other people’s code to find and fix failures stack?wide.Experience or strong comfort level with data migration, ETL processes, or handling large datasets.Must have experience working with REST API endpoints.Familiarity with database queries (SQL) and GraphQL.Proactive, structured, and comfortable wearing two hats: a developer hat and an operational data hat.Language skills: C1?Native level Spanish (written and spoken) for regional collaboration.B2 level English for internal global communications.Equal OpportunityWe believe in diverse talent: we welcome applicants from all backgrounds and strongly encourage people of diverse experiences and identities to apply.We believe in inclusion: we are committed to equal opportunities and actively promote workplace inclusion of people with disabilities.BenefitsHigh growth, multicultural and friendly environment Alan as private health insurance Healthy life with Wellhub (Gyms, pools, outdoor classes) Save expenses with CobeeLanguage classes Breakfast in the office and organic fruit Nora discounts Free caffeine and theine Pet Friendly#J-*****-Ljbffr
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience. 1?2+ years of professional experience writing and debugging Ruby. 1?2+ years of professional experience working with TypeScript. Solid proficiency with Python for scripting, data manipulation, or automation. Familiarity with or willingness to touch Java for specific internal data processing tools. Strong debugging skills and a love for reading other people’s code to find and fix failures stack?wide.
