IT Support Engineer / Plant IT Support Engineer Role DescriptionWe are looking for hands?onIT Support Engineers along with MSSQL DBA’s for a large projectto provide onsite technical support within manufacturing and industrial locations.The role will focus primarily onday-to-day user support, desktop support, application support and local IT troubleshooting , while also assisting with infrastructure and project activities such as Windows upgrades, device refreshes, network issues and local systems support.This is a broad support role.Candidates arenot expected to be specialists in every technology listed , but should have a good general IT support backgroundand be comfortable working independently onsite.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide onsite1st/2nd/3rd line IT supportto users.(Either 1st or 2nd or 3rd - depending on your experience)Troubleshoot Windows desktops, laptops, peripherals and standard office applications.Support Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.Assist users with hardware, software, login, connectivity and application issues.Support local networking and connectivity issues.Assist withWindows upgrades, PC refreshes and migration projects .Support local printers, scanners and other workplace technology.Provide basic support aroundCisco networking .Support virtual environments such asVMwarewhere required.Assist withMS SQL-related application/database issuesand escal specialist DBA issues where necessary.SupportMES / manufacturing systemsused within the plant.Assist withCAD and engineering applications .Support backup/recovery tools, includingRubrik , where used.Log, manage and resolve incidents and service requests.Liaise with central IT teams and specialist support teams when escalation is required.Maintain local IT documentation and asset information.Support neighbouring sites where practical and geographically appropriate.Provide holiday/sickness cover where required.Essential SkillsExperience in eitherIT Support, Desktop Support, Service Desk, Field Support or Site Support or DBA .Strong Windows desktop support skills.Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.Comfortable troubleshooting hardware and software issues.Basic networking knowledge.Good communication and customer-facing skills.Able to work independently onsite.Willingness to support users in a manufacturing / industrial environment.Experience with any 4 of the following is essential: (You do not require all noted below)Cisco networking VMware MS SQL MES systems Rubrik Windows Server Active Directory CAD applications PowerShell Manufacturing / automotive IT support ITIL environments Windows upgrade / migration projects Experience2+ years of IT support experience#J-*****-Ljbffr

Experience in either IT Support, Desktop Support, Service Desk, Field Support or Site Support or DBA . Strong Windows desktop support skills. Good knowledge of Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365.
