Job description

OverviewAs a Hardware Engineer in the CU Devices team at Verisure, you design and evolve the electronics for our secure, connected smart-home alarm systems.You translate requirements into robust schematics and PCB layouts, balancing performance with cost and manufacturability.You work with software, QA, procurement, and EMS partners to bring new products to market and continuously improve production testing.You’ll operate across the full product lifecycle, from concept to certification, in a fast-growing, collaborative environment.ResponsabilidadesGather and break down hardware requirementsDesign and document schematics and PCB layoutsSelect components and manage BOMs, second source availabilitySupport manufacturing, production testing, and factory toolingPrototype testing, validation, debugging, and design iterationCollaborate with SW, QA, procurement, vendors, and EMSCoordinate design-for-cost and design-for-manufacturability reviewsSupport certification processes and regulatory requirementsMonitor and report R&D activities related to hardware developmentRequisitos principales6+ years experience designing electronics (schematics and PCB layouts)Experience with multilayer and high-speed designs (DDR, USB, Ethernet, PCIe)Experience with processors or fast MCUs and external memoriesPrototype testing, validation, debuggingDesign for manufacturing/industrialization for mass productionFull cycle product development from concept to adoptionExperience with certification processes per standards/regulationsUnderstanding of digital and radio communications; RF knowledge is a plusSpoken English professional; Spanish strongly recommended but not mandatoryStrong problem-solving abilityStructured, methodical work approachExcellent collaboration and teamworkAltiumLaboratory equipment handlingPython

Requisitos principales6+ years experience designing electronics (schematics and PCB layouts) Experience with multilayer and high-speed designs (DDR, USB, Ethernet, PCIe) Experience with processors or fast MCUs and external memories Prototype testing, validation, debugging Design for manufacturing/industrialization for mass production Full cycle product development from concept to adoption Experience with certification processes per standards/regulations Understanding of digital and radio communications; RF knowledge is a plus Spoken English professional; Spanish strongly recommended but not mandatory Strong problem-solving ability Structured, methodical work approach Excellent collaboration and teamwork Altium Laboratory equipment handling Python
