Forward Deployment Engineer

As a Forward Deployment Engineer, you work directly at the intersection of product, engineering, and customer implementations. You translate real customer requirements into robust, production-ready setups, and ensure fonio is successfully deployed end-to-end in live environments.

You build and maintain integrations, workflows, and AI-driven logic that make customer deployments fast, reliable, and scalable.

You are not just shipping features-you are making sure they work in the real world., * Gather customer requirements and translate them into clear implementation plans

• Deploy and configure fonio setups in production (workflows, logic, prompts, guardrails)
• Implement integrations with third-party systems (APIs, webhooks, CRM, calendars, ticketing systems, etc.)
• Build small features and glue-code to support specific customer use cases
• Debug live production issues (calls, flows, edge cases, failures) and ship fast fixes
• Create reusable templates and deployment playbooks for scalable rollouts
• Collect structured product feedback and surface pain points and feature gaps to the team
• Work closely with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams, * Full ownership of customer deployments and production setups
• Direct impact on real customer outcomes

• Strong coding skills and ability to independently implement solutions
• Solid understanding of AI systems and LLMs (prompting, tool use, RAG, failure modes)
• Workflow thinking: ability to translate complex processes into reliable, testable systems
• Experience with APIs, webhooks, authentication, and integration patterns
• Basic cloud understanding (deployments, observability, debugging in production)
• Strong pragmatic mindset: ship fast, stabilize, iterate
• Bonus: experience with voice/telephony systems, n8n, TypeScript, Python, SQL, monitoring/tracing, GDPR compliance
• Fluent German prefered and strong English

• €65,000-€95,000 salary + equity
