Job description

Our client is seeking talented Backend Python Developers to join an innovative engineering team focused on building a brand-new service platform centred around CRM-related functionality. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a greenfield initiative, where the following responsibilities will be key:

  • Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Python.
  • Build scalable APIs and event-driven services that support customer-facing applications.
  • Develop and optimise data solutions within AWS cloud environments.
  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and frontend teams to deliver new platform capabilities.
  • Contribute to architecture decisions and establish best practises for a strategic service.
  • Support continuous improvement, automation, and engineering excellence across the team.
  • Engage in Agile ceremonies and foster a collaborative engineering culture.

Requirements

The ideal candidates will possess a strong set of skills and experiences, including:

  • Significant commercial experience developing backend applications in Python.
  • Proven expertise within AWS cloud environments.
  • Strong understanding of database technologies, including PostgreSQL and SQL or NoSQL databases (preferably DynamoDB).
  • Experience in building and supporting production-grade backend services.
  • Comfort in a hands-on development environment.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities with a product-focused mindset.
  • Experience in Agile software development teams.

Desirable Skills: While the essential skills are crucial, additional experience in the following areas would be advantageous:

  • Familiarity with DynamoDB.
  • Knowledge of event-driven architecture and messaging patterns.
  • Experience developing microservices and distributed systems.
  • Exposure to CRM platforms or customer service applications., * Product-minded, focused on delivering tangible business value.
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communicators capable of collaborating effectively across both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Passionate about building robust, scalable cloud-native applications.
