You will work closely with colleagues across Digital, Performance and operational services to deliver reliable, automated and high-quality information that enables self-service reporting and supports the Trust’s strategic objectives.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced developer who enjoys solving complex data challenges, improving data quality and contributing to the continued evolution of the Trust’s Business Intelligence platform. Advert

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will be responsible for designing, developing and supporting robust Business Intelligence solutions that provide accurate, timely and meaningful information to clinical and corporate services across the Trust.

You will develop and maintain data warehouses, ETL processes, databases, reports and interactive Power BI dashboards, ensuring that solutions are reliable, well documented, secure and thoroughly tested before release. Working closely with colleagues across Information, Digital and operational teams, you will integrate data from multiple systems, develop dimensional data models and help deliver automated reporting solutions that promote self-service and reduce manual effort.

The role also includes supporting the ongoing development of the Trust’s Business Intelligence environment by maintaining technical documentation, contributing to data quality initiatives, identifying opportunities to improve reporting and analytics, and ensuring all information products comply with information governance and data protection requirements. You will provide technical expertise to projects, work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, and contribute to the continuous improvement of the Trust’s reporting capabilities. Working for our organisation

As a Trust we remain bold and ambitious with plans for both service and system collaborative transformation over the coming years to improve the health and wellbeing of our local people through high quality care.

We pride ourselves on ensuring our team has their wellbeing put first and as such provide a range of wellness opportunities including flexible working.

We are committed to the Greener NHS national ambition to becoming the world’s first ‘carbon net zero’ national health system by 2045 (Greener NHS (england.nhs.uk). As part of this, sustainability is embedded in our strategy as one of our four key enablers. In order to deliver on this commitment, we recognise that we need a workforce that is as passionate as we are about achieving these goals, for the benefit of our service users, workforce, local communities and the planet alike.

The Trust is committed to ensuring that a diverse workforce is representative and inclusive at all levels. We would very much welcome applications from all under-represented groups including women, people with disabilities, people from global majority backgrounds, and those from the lesbian, gay, bi and trans communities.

The Trust is committed to the Step into Health scheme and actively encourages applicants from the Armed Forces Communities to apply. Detailed job description and main responsibilities

As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a key role in the development, enhancement and support of the Trust’s Business Intelligence platform, helping to deliver high-quality information that supports operational management, strategic planning and improvements in patient care.

Working within the Performance Team, you will be responsible for designing, developing and maintaining robust Business Intelligence solutions using Microsoft technologies including SQL Server, SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), Power BI and Microsoft Report Builder. You will develop data warehouses, ETL processes, dimensional data models, databases, reports and interactive dashboards that provide accurate, timely and accessible information to a wide range of users across the Trust.

You will work closely with Digital and Information colleagues to ensure that reporting solutions are built on reliable and up-to-date datasets, supporting the ongoing development of the Trust’s data warehouse and Business Intelligence environment. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of Business Intelligence services by keeping up to date with emerging technologies, promoting best practice and sharing knowledge with colleagues through training and support where appropriate.
