AWS Solutions Architect

Novaminds is a UK-based cloud solutions company specialising in AWS cloud services, FinOps and DevOps. We help organisations improve cloud performance, cost visibility and operational efficiency., Novaminds is looking for an experienced AWS Solutions Architect to design and support the implementation of high-performance AWS cloud solutions.

In this role, you will act as a trusted technical advisor to customers, translating their business goals and technical requirements into tailored cloud architectures. You will work closely with sales, architecture and professional services teams to develop secure, scalable and cost-effective solutions, supporting customers from initial consultation through to deployment.

This is a customer-facing role, so you should be confident explaining architectural decisions and complex technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Please note that this is a fully on-site position based in Canary Wharf, London. Remote or hybrid working is not available., * Engage with customers to understand their technical requirements, business challenges and goals, translating these into tailored AWS cloud solutions.

• Design and propose solutions using AWS services such as EC2, S3, RDS and Lambda, alongside Kubernetes, AI/ML and analytics capabilities where appropriate.
• Develop detailed architecture diagrams and project documentation aligned with cloud best practices.
• Provide hands-on guidance and support during deployment to ensure solutions integrate effectively with customer architectures.
• Collaborate with sales, solutions architects and professional services teams to deliver scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud solutions.
• Represent customer needs and share feedback with AWS product teams and internal stakeholders to support service improvements.
• Stay up to date with AWS innovations, cloud industry trends and competitor offerings to provide informed recommendations and communicate the value of AWS solutions.

• Professional fluency in English is essential.
• Candidates with professional working proficiency in both Cantonese and Mandarin are strongly preferred, as this role involves communication with clients and stakeholders across UK and Asian markets., * A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or a related field. Relevant experience or certifications may substitute for formal education.
• 3-7+ years of experience in cloud architecture, solutions design or technical consulting, ideally involving AWS or other cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
• Hands-on experience designing, deploying or managing cloud solutions in enterprise environments.
• A deep understanding of cloud computing concepts, including IaaS, PaaS and SaaS, and core AWS capabilities across compute, storage, networking, databases, serverless and AI/ML.
• Proficiency in at least one programming or scripting language, such as Python, Java or JavaScript/Node.js, for automation or proof-of-concept development.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines and tools such as AWS CloudFormation, Terraform or Kubernetes.
• Familiarity with the AWS Well-Architected Framework and cloud cost optimisation strategies.
• Proficiency with the AWS Management Console, AWS CLI or AWS SDKs.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to develop solutions that address different customer needs.
• The ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable Experience

• AWS certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate or Professional, or AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner.
