Machine Learning Research Scientist

We’re looking for a Research Scientist to join an early-stage UK startup working at the intersection of machine learning and robotics.

This is a highly research-driven role. You’ll explore new approaches to robot learning, vision-language-action models and world models, with the opportunity to test your ideas on real robotic systems.

The role

• Research and develop new approaches to Physical AI
• Train and evaluate VLAs, world models and robot learning systems
• Explore new architectures, training techniques and data strategies
• Investigate how models can generalise across different tasks and environments
• Turn research ideas into experiments on real robotic hardware
• Play a major role in shaping the company’s research roadmap

About you

• Strong research background in machine learning, robotics or computer vision
• Deep understanding of modern deep learning
• Experience training and evaluating ML models
• Strong mathematical and experimental skills
• Comfortable tackling open-ended research problems
• Able to take an idea from hypothesis through to rigorous experimentation
