Job description

  • Contribute to the industrialisation and validation of next-generation in-house Computational Fluid Dynamics capabilities.
  • Ensure full end-to-end technical support (ANSA Meshing, CODA Computational Fluid Dynamics runs, post-processing) for our transnational end-users.
  • Develop complex applications in aerodynamic, aero-elastic, and aero-acoustic simulations interacting directly with aerodynamic shape design customers.
  • Interact with key R&D partners, external research establishments, and collaborate closely within a transnational capabilities team (Europe and India).
  • Supervise PhD students and assess Computational Fluid Dynamics tools by benchmarking COTS or developing Proofs of Concept (PoC).

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of industrial experience in Computational Fluid Dynamics methods in aerodynamics (transonic flows and propeller configurations).
  • Mandatory mastery of advanced object-oriented languages like Python or C++.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of the CODA Computational Fluid Dynamics chain and ANSA Meshing tool.
  • Proven ability to perform advanced internal and external flow studies (RANS, URANS, LES) including geometric preparation, meshing, analysis, and post-processing.
  • Ability to install, deploy, and maintain Computational Fluid Dynamics tools, as well as develop and debug advanced Python scripts in an industrial environment., This job requires an awareness of any potential compliance risks and a commitment to act with integrity, as the foundation for the Company’s success, reputation and sustainable growth.

About the company

Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer (f/m) to join our Engineering Flight Physics Capability department based in Toulouse, France.

You will be part of a team developing world-class customer-oriented computational simulation means and advanced services for Aerodynamics. As part of the Engineering Flight Physics Capability Team, you will be involved in the full E2E Computational Fluid Dynamics process aiming at supporting the aircraft design process through technical excellence and continuous innovation.
