Job description

Qualcomm seeks a CPU Architecture Performance Engineer to drive next generation wireless and mobile platforms. You will analyze and model CPU and SoC microarchitecture for 5G, AI, and multimedia workloads, identifying performance bottlenecks and power/performance tradeoffs. Partner with architecture, RTL, and software teams to design, simulate, and validate improvements using performance counters, benchmarks, and trace based tools. Develop workloads, create projections for future nodes, and present data driven recommendations that influence roadmap decisions in a fast paced, innovation driven environment., * Analyze CPU and So

  • C microarchitecture performance for wireless, AI, and multimedia workloads
  • Develop and run benchmarks, traces, and simulations to identify bottlenecks
  • Model performance and power tradeoffs across process nodes and design options
  • Collaborate with architecture, RTL, and software teams on performance features and optimizations
  • Create and maintain performance analysis tools, scripts, and dashboards
  • Design and characterize workloads representative of 5
  • G, mobile, and automotive use cases
  • Validate performance projections against silicon and adjust models accordingly
  • Prepare reports and presentations with data driven design recommendations
  • Contribute to CPU and system level performance roadmap planning
  • Support debugging and root cause analysis of performance issues in pre and post silicon
