Job description
This is a contract role (12-15 months) leading the payroll team’s participation in a global payroll transformation project. A Client is consolidating its payroll vendor landscape & implementing Dayforce as a single unified global payroll system. This role will be responsible for the smooth transition of our U.S., Canada, Australia, entities onto the new system.
This role will be involved in all phases of the project, from planning, through implementation, to go-live. It will closely collaborate with our vendors, implementation consultants and internal payroll teams to ensure successful delivery of the project.
Candidates should have experience leading or managing payroll, preferably in a multinational environment as well as a proven track record of managing and delivering payroll system implementations.
An understanding of local regulations and compliance requirements in some or all of the countries previously listed, is important and in-depth knowledge of payroll & HRM systems is needed. Attention to detail and the ability to manage and deliver results under strict deadlines as well as working effectively cross-functionally in a rapidly changing environment is critical.

Help lead the participation in the global payroll transformation project, transitioning payrolls from multiple vendors to a unified global provider.

Assist with UAT / Parallel testing for US and Canada

Lead the Australia system implementation, including planning, requirements gathering, testing, data validation, cutover and go-live for the

Partner with Technical and IT teams to support the build and implementation of approximately 15 Global integrations from third-party systems into the global payroll platform.

Critically review new global processes, to ensure local requirements are flagged and appropriately considered.

Collaborate with HR, Finance, Benefits, Technical and IT teams, and external vendors to ensure data accuracy.

Assist with the migration and validation of data from legacy payroll systems into the new global payroll platform or data storage application

Develop and document payroll processes, policies, and controls to ensure compliance with local regulations and company standards.

Enable adoption of new technology, systems and processes through change management, training and stakeholder engagement.

Prepare and present regular project updates and payroll reports to senior leadership.

Maintain strict confidentiality of payroll data and ensure robust data security practice
Requirements

Degree in business related discipline.

12+ years of payroll experience including at least 6+ in a managerial capacity at a fast-paced, high volume, high growth, multinational company.

Experience in leading U.S., Canada, Australia payroll.

Proven experience leading payroll transformation or system implementation projects, ensuring seamless integration and user adoption.

Extensive stock payroll (RSU’s, options, ESPP) related experience

Excellent project management, organizational, and analytical skills.

Excellent interpersonal, communication and stakeholder management skills.

High attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.

Focus on continuous improvement and standardization of payroll operations and systems

Must be self-motivated, flexible and able to work under pressure
